Come up with a plan

Strategy is like a plan. To think something out before you do it. A way to recognize strategy in sports is when in basketball one of the coaches calls a timeout to reorganize his or her team so they will have a better chance of winning. A way to see strategy at work is if someone is doing something different from everyone else because they feel they are more productive that way. What it means for someone/something to b strategic is plan something out before they do it thinking that it will help them out in a good way, or planning something for the better.
