I believe that artists came up with the 'genre' term to put different classifications for the things they were doing. Genres were created in an independent style for the writers and readers. Genre is a type of distinctive form that describes different elements of writing. I believe the purpose of a genre is to shuffle and sort pieces of work to an appropriate category. Genres are meant for anyone who decides to write or create a piece of art work so that there is some meaning behind their mad ways.
